Altrusa of Glendale, CA, is involved a wide range of projects involving service to others in our local communities. These projects include:

  • Adult Literacy Program Tutoring at Glendale Library
  • Arbor Day Tree Donation — Honoring the Outgoing President
  • Ascencia ShelterBedding
  • Middle School Scholarships  Altrusa Salutes Youth
  • Ascencia of Glendale— Providing an Annual Meal for the local Homeless
  • Glendale Memorial Hospital  Baby Bags for Newborns
  • BCR (“A Place to Grow”)— Annual “Fall Frolic” Dance for Those with Mental Challenges
  • Burbank Temporary Aid Center — Food for Low-Income Families
  • Campbell Center of Glendale— Lunch and Bingo for Mentally-Challenged Adults
  • Glendale Community College — Citizenship
  • Habitat for Humanity — Periodic Volunteering as Needed
  • Child Literacy Programs — Reading and Book Donations
  • School on Wheels — Providing School Supplies to the Homeless
  • Serving Lunch to the Blind — Occurs Monthly
  • Women Veterans — Honoring Them at a Luncheon
  • Male Veterans  Thanksgiving  Luncheon
